The Hollywoodbets Super League has announced its fixtures for the 2026 season. With the league bringing innovation to women's football.

The league will be played in two streams, each with eight teams: Super Rise and Super Era. JvW Girls Football Club is in the Super Era alongside Fort Hare University, Tshwane University of Technology, Copperbelt Ladies, Richmond Ladies, City Lads, First Touch, and Ramatlaohle FC, which was recently promoted.

JvW Girls Football Club finished second in the 2025 season with 69 points, 11 points behind champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies. The Bedford View club will look to build on last season's success in their bid to dethrone the Brazilians as South African football queens.

Alexia Cassar, the Blue Diamonds' co-coach, is excited about the upcoming season. Cassar co-leads JvW Girls Football Club with Bafana Nhlapo, who also coaches goalkeepers for the club.

“I am very excited. I think the buildup to the league has been very much anticipated. And I think we are just excited to get ready for the games. We've been training for a while now. The fact that we can look forward to something now is quite exciting. Overall, it is just exciting to be around these great teams. Obviously to see new teams come up, new players, and I think it will be a good season.” Said Cassar.
