Former Blue Diamonds star walks ShakingInk through her time with the Bedfordview-based team.
"I can't even begin to describe my experience at JvW Girls Football. From the boys' squad, I joined JvW Girls. Janine has created an amazing atmosphere. I had a wonderful twelve years at the club and am incredibly appreciative of the chance I was given. I developed both personally and as a football player." Said Wade.
Wade has since signed a lucrative two-year contract with Aland United, a Finnish team. She says, when she arrives in Finland to begin her new trip and chapter with Aland United, she will now put her skills to the test outside of JvW Girls Football. Wade puts on a cheek-to-cheek smile as she describes how eager she is to don the stripes of Aland United, looking as excited as a child sitting on Santa's lap.
"I've always wanted to play anywhere in Europe. I'm thrilled to be traveling to Finland to fulfill this desire and am looking forward to develop that aspect. Fortunately, unlike at home, the league in Finland is well-established and professional. I shall devote all of my attention to playing football.

Wade was set to make her debut for the senior national squad. The Alberton native beams as she recalls the evening she shared the field with a plethora of stars, both in her camp and in opposition.
"When I was 14 years old, I was a member of the under-17 team that traveled to Uruguay for the FIFA under-17 World Cup, which marked the beginning of my national team career. I then joined the senior national team setup. It was a great pleasure to make my debut. I was excited to simply play with and against players of that caliber on the pitch." Wade concluded.
