ShakingInk had a one-on-one interview with Bongiwe Thusi, star midfielder for JVW Football For Girls and owner of Thusi Authentic. Thusi leads us through her recently established sports and remedial massage venture. Known affectionately in football circles as Slender, she applies massage gels and oils with care while showing her passion. The atmosphere in the space is filled with a fragrance of achievement and outstanding quality. By paying close attention to every detail, she cements her role as a leader in football.


Thusi reflects on her lifelong dream of supporting women's soccer, sharing memories of her aspirations. "Since I was young, I have always desired to have an impact. Women's soccer does not receive the same level of medical assistance as men's teams, resulting in a high number of injuries." Said Thusi. 


Believing that the exclusion of women in football is now obsolete, Thusi bravely confronts the unfamiliar. She values playing the game more than achieving victory. Last year during the Sasol National playoffs, I observed numerous players experiencing knee injuries. I felt hurt watching them endure their pain while playing. I came to the realization that I had the necessary qualifications to have an impact." Thusi expressed satisfaction in seeing players having fun while staying injury-free and feeling rejuvenated.


Slender was surprised by the reception Thusi Authentic received from teammates and the public in general. She couldn't mask her shock while describing how amazing it was to witness her recently opened sports and remedial massage business getting so much support. "They reacted excellently. This level of support was unexpected by me. Thusi stated that the interaction on her various social media channels was fantastic, and she was deeply moved by the positive feedback from people.

The concept of life after death is embraced with enthusiasm and compassion when communicated clearly. Getting ready for life after soccer can feel like a never-ending process for many players who still love the sound of their cleats on the tunnel floor as they enter the field. However, Slender has already started getting ready for her future career post-football. Thusi Authentic is built upon the genuineness of eternal life. Thusi expresses her desire to stay involved in the sport after retiring from playing.


Saying goodbye to football is not easy. Particularly if you have such a strong passion for this game. Therefore, I made the choice to pursue a football-related endeavor to stay connected to the game even after my retirement. I plan to remain with the medical team and will keep gaining the required medical qualifications to contribute to the team." Thusi Concluded.
